Nugent to stay at Burnley

Striker David Nugent has extended his loan spell at Burnley until the end of the season. The former Preston North End forward joined Portsmouth for £6 million in 2007, but was sent on loan to Premier League new boys Burnley last summer after struggling to adapt to life at Fratton Park. He’s scored three goals for the Clarets so far this season.
