Numa Gulyanamitta happy with performance at Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012
Numa Gulyanamitta of Thailand, who got off to a solid start at the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012, is going to face rivals at the upcoming CN Canadian Women’s Open 2012, set to be played next week, at The Vancouver
Golf Club, Canada.
Gulyanamitta is one of the rising LPGA (Ladies professional Golf Association) stars who have come out to prove their worth in recent tournaments. The Thai star is expected to do her best in Canada next week,
as her fans think she has what it takes to trouble other contenders.
The field set for the CN Canadian Women’s Open 2012 is pretty tough, as it is featuring most of the Tour’s big names.
Some of the key players are current world number one Yani Tseng, Paula Creamer, Natalie Gulbis, Stacy Lewis, Suzann Pettersen, Cristie Kerr, Brittany Lang, Brittany Lincicome, Angela Stanford, Na Yeon Choi,
Mika Miyazato, Shanshan Feng and others.
Despite a strong field, Gulyanamitta is confident and will put her best forward in order to score well in Canada.
Her performance at the last week’s Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012 was nothing short of amazing because she outrivaled most of the contenders in the first round.
The Thai golfer carded a decent 66 in the opening round, cementing her position on the leaderboard.
Speaking to the media about her performance in the first round, Gulyanamitta said that she was more than happy after making a good start at Ohio. She said that despite rough weather conditions that caused strong
winds in the first round, the young star stayed firm on the course and avoided making too many mistakes.
“Starting the back nine, I start rolling the ball good, start making putts.  I hit the ball closer.  I chip it in on nine.  That's the start of things going good, like going up.  It was kind of like an okay
day, like just a normal day.  I just happened to play good, made a couple putts that I need to,” Gulyanamitta said.
She went on to say that since she is new on the LPGA Tour, it will take her time to adjust to her game. “It's been interesting.  I've been trying to get used to the Tour and stuff, it's my first year.  Don't
really know where to go”.
