Question:

Numb hand & swollen eye?

I'm a 28 yr. old female in relatively healthy shape. For the last month the pinky finger on my left hand and all the way to my wrist has been going numb for different time periods (couple minutes to a couple hours). three days ago my pinky and ring fingers and that half of my hand went numb. I haven't felt them since. And then today I woke up and my left eye will only open halfway. This was accompanied by a major headache and exhaustion. I don't know if the two are related. Can anybody tell me what could be wrong?

  1. SEE YOUR DOCTOR A.S.A.P!

I'm no doctor or anything but something like this should be seen to straight away. It may be nothing serious, but what if it is?....... Best to get checked out. It may be that you've suffered a very minor stroke or something. They generaly cause limpness in the left side of the body.

Please do yourself a favour & seek medical attention right away. I would suggest just phoning the emergency department at your local hospital & tell them your symptoms & ask them if they feel it's worth a trip in to see them or if they think you'd be better off seeing your doctor. Hope this helps.

  2. i don't know whats wrong with your eye, sorry, i would ask my dad but hes leaving for work in about 1 second. maybe i can ask him when he gets home and edit=)

have you been laying on your pinky finger? that could make it "go to sleep." if not, maybe see a doctor? sounds really weird.

  3. go see a doctor, sounds serious.
