Number of required teachers/assistants at preschool/kindergarten?

Could someone please tell me the number of legally required teachers/assistants (both unqualified and qualified) per child at a preschool or kindergarten in Victoria, Australia?

I do not know "legally" what is required in Australia. What I would like to suggest, however, is a Co-Op opportunity, where the parents come in and help in the class. It gives you the extra bodies you need and doesn't cost you anything, and it makes the transition for the children so so much easier. My 6 year old is starting 1st grade at a Charter School, where I am required to spend time in the classroom. He was elated, I get to see how things work, and all the parents get to help with the curriculum, as well as the students... Win Win situation, in my opinion!

I would think one certified teacher and at least one assistant, but some places might require two or three assistants.
