Number of white haitians in haiti

Question

i have heard its as high as 70-75 thousand counting the arab community and the very few jews that are left, is it lower? i live in cap haitien and its very low maybe 300-500 tops but port au prince has a preety large number considering, also does anyone knw of the few polish famlies that are still in haiti?

It have a large group of white Haitan trust me am from the caribbean am Jamaican and am white and black mixed Jamaica we have chinese Jamaican indian Jamaican and mostly irish french brittish spanish dutch tiano arawak  ansestor but we blend also in the african descent but i know that in haiti have a population of whites not only multi racail but whites also i heard that it have some haitan have long hair blue eyes light skin but black and mixed is mostly in haiti just like Jamaica

Hummm.... 70-75000 seems a bit high... but I won't dispute your figures.

I know a lot of white people have left the island in the past 20 years.  I lived in Haiti for 2 years and left there right after Baby Doc abdicated and left for the French Riviera.  The few white people I managed to keep in touch with have all left the island as have their friends and families, so I have no reason to doubt the 300-500 in P-au-P figure.

It's so sad... When Papa Doc died I really thought his son was serious about his promises and, especially with the way Mme Douvalier was so interested in building schools and public facilities and helping the Haitian people to rise out of poverty... What has happened over the past years is really sad.

Its about 40,000 people overall, many of the "white haitians" that were still in the island left during the Duvalier regime in the 70's because he stripped them of much of their political & social power. Some returned after the fall of Jean-Claude, but overall many of the white haitians who were originally in haiti moved to other regions like Martinique, Canada, France and St Martin.

we are not white. we are just malatos , wich are ancesters of the Taino indians and spaniards, and africans.
