  2. 7's supposed to be a magic number- like in Harry Potter, Voldemort chose to make 7 horocruxes because of the significance of the number 7.

    13 is know to be unlucky though I don't really know why. Isn't a baker's dozen 13? Which is actually good cause you get one extra! So I dunno why it's unlucky :)

    No number can be lucky or unlucky unless you think it is.

  6. the reason why 7 is considered a lucky number is because if u roll 2 dice and add them up - like most dice game

      the sum of 7 has the highest probability of all combinations of appearing

    =  roman culture for dice games

    even before that  indian subcontinent  used dice games

  12. Depends on what country you're from. 7 is lucky in the U.S and 13 is considered unlucky. 13 is lucky in Italy but 17 is unlucky there.

  14. Intriguingly, 7 is considered really unlucky in China! But obviously lucky in the west. 13 is considered unlucky apparently because there were 13 seated at the last supper. I am not definitely sure of this, this is what I was told. Some hotels are so superstitious, they don't have a 13th floor. Have a look when you are next in one, its often true!
