I was just wondering what numbers colleges are looking for for a quarterback. Things such as shuttle times, 40s, throwing distance, size, etc. Can you please tell me the numbers for each level (D3, D2, D1). Thanks

  1. I don't think it's as much about the numbers as you think.  Although, the stats certainly help.  Shuttle and 40 times are only worth noting when you are recruited for an option QB.  Yet, most colleges just get the best athletes and try to develop them however they can.  Anytime you are recruited as a QB it doesn't guarantee that you will remain at that position.  I've seen QB's turn into nearly every position.  So, you should really be flexible with a college if they show any interest in you.

  2. drew n, those times for QB's are wayy off.  Some D1 RB and WR don;t even run that fast.

  3. dpends on how accurate.

    4.8 60 yds 6'2" 218

    4.65 68 yds 6'-6"5" 199-225

    4.59 70+ 6'2"+ 190-225

  4. look on rivals.com  all the top QB's run a 4.6 4.7   40 yard dash. 200lbs is a good D1 Qb out of HS. throwing distance doesnt matter, just if you can complete the throws at that given college.
