Ok so I am on my way to becoming a FB for my high school football team and I need some help with reading some plays. Ok so this play is called Red Right 24 power. What does red right mean and what does the 24 mean? And Blue Left 25 power? What do the words stand for?

  1. you are the 2-back, and you go to the 4 hole in the 24 power, and you go to the 5 hole in the 25 power

i use to play runningback, but im now a wide receiver

it could be different in your offensive scheme, but thats what it meant in ours

  2. Red Right 24 Power would be a FB dive to the right side it is a short yard play for 3rd and short or goal line plays. Blue Left 25 Power is a run right up the middle to the left. The Red 24 and Blue 25 are just words thrown in there so that the coach can have more than one FB dive.
