Question:

Numbness in left hand?

For the past 2 weeks Ive been getting a slight numbness and tingling feeling in my left hand and it has only been lasting for a couple of hours but now its lasting for ages!

It feels like there is an elastic band around my wrist stopping the blood from going to my hand and as well as that there seems to be a vein in my thumb thats throbbing....

Anyone know whats happening?

Thanks

  1. i have no idea wtf doom is talking about

You may have constricted blood vessels, which will make blood flow harder, and numb your hand.

have you been like squeezing your hands or anything? you might even have a popped blood vessel.. but thats unlikely. or a stroke in your wrist veins... which is unlikelier

  2. You're neglecting a much needed doctor's visit. SEE A DOCTOR

  3. it may be to do with your blood pressure get it checked asap

  4. Could be a trapped nerve somewhere, or bad circulation, probably best to go see a doctor for a diagnosis as this would be hard to do on here

  5. possibly RSI (repetitive strain injury) do you type a lot or text on your phone?

or carpel tunnel syndrome where the nerves and things get caught up in the protective sheath surrounding them.

i advise a trip to you GP and maybe physio can sort it out or it could need a small op done under local anaesthetic

  6. Hey, see a doctor! It could be something simple, BUT.. tingling and numbness in the hand is a symptom of problems in the nerve supplying that area.. eg.a disc bulge in the upper spine..

    Good luck :)

  7. carpal tunnel syndrome is very common read this website http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/topic.cfm?topi...
