Numerology and number 8?

Question

I suppose today is all about 7s, but I noticed some funny things about me and number 8

a. the letters of my name add up to 8

b. the numbers of my birthday add up to 8

c. in my astrological chart I have a large number of aries planets in the house 8th

d. years with the number 8 probably had some significance in my life

I don't know if they say, 8 is all about money and power, I am all about spirituality and poetry and such stuff. however I've had some bad luck, in the sense that I suffered things I could not avoid. Does anybody has something to say, or offer any opinions? thank you!

You can pick any number and find just as many coincidences as you've found for number 8. I'd encourage you to try it.

Numerology is entirely based on coincidence and the mathematical properties of numbers. You are noticing all the items in your life that have a connection to 8 and ignoring those that have connections to other numbers.

8 has a number of nice properties. It is the smallest cube after 1. It is the smallest symmetrical number after 1. On its side it looks like the infinity sign. You have 8 fingers, excluding your thumbs. I like the number 8 but it doesn't have any symbolic or magical powers.

I am pretty well aware that in eastern Asian cultures, the number 8 stands for good luck (and especially prosperity).  I had a friend of Taiwanese descent whose immigrant parents were obsessed with the number 8, enough to build their large home to be 8,888 square feet in size.

I personally liked the number 8, since the first time someone asked me what my lucky number was, was on my eighth birthday. =D

(P.S. - how do the letters in your name add up to 8?  I've never tried to add letters before, sounds difficult.  I assume you mean the numerical orders of the letters? [mine add up to 30, FYI.])
