Real Madrid sign Nuri Sahin from Borussia Dortmund
According to the reports in Spanish media, Real Madrid have completed the signing of Turkish sensation, Nuri Sahin. Reports suggest that all parties involved will conduct a press conference on Monday evening to confirm the deal.
The Turkish international is rumoured to have signed a five year deal for approximately Euros 10 million. Sahin played a huge role in guiding Borussia Dortmund to their 7th league title in German football. The German born Turkish midfielder made
40 appearances for the club and scored 8 goals and 13 assists before being knocked out of the season through a knee injury.
The 22-year-old is expected to miss the remainder of the season and might miss the start of the 2011/12 season as well.
A source close to the club told that Sahin is exactly the type of player Jose Mourinho loves to have in his team and can contribute a great deal to the club.
Borussia Dortmund issue Mario Gotze hands-off warning
Borussia Dortmund CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke, insists that the club’s young playmaker, Mario Gotze is not for sale at any price.
The 18-year-old had a terrific 2010/11 season and was instrumental behind Borussia Dortmund’s success as the German Bundesliga Champions. Gotze made 44 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring six goals and providing 15 assists in the process.
His classy midfield displays have earned him a call to the German National team as well.
