The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Turkey-c3026 international joined the La Liga giants in the summer of 2011 on a long term six year contract from Borussia Dortmund. He was unable to make his debut until early November as he had been sidelined with an injury since August.
Despite a few brilliant performances that even impressed manager Jose Mourinho, Sahin has been unable to secure his place in the starting XI. The midfielder made just ten appearances in all competitions last season and has one goal and one assist each to
his name.
It was believed the lack of playing opportunity would encourage Sahin to seek a move away and was heavily linked with Tottenham Hotspur. However, the Turkish midfielder denied wanting a move away from Real Madrid, claiming it was his dream to play with the
Spanish side.
Sahin said while speaking to reporters:
“Since I arrived here, it has been like living a dream.
It is one of the best clubs in the world and for this reason I do not see why I should go. I have no intention of leaving.”
Sahin was said to be a part of an exchange deal between Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur, with the London side giving http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Croatia-c2879 international is reportedly determined for a move away after the Spurs failed to qualify for the
Champions League yet again.
In addition to that, manager Harry Redknapp was sacked, who was considered to be one of the main reasons Modric remained at the club last season. Redknapp’s departure is expected to cause a mass exodus, with Modric leading the way.
While Modric was initially linked with a move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, with the Champions League winners prepared to pay as much as 40 million pounds for his signature, Tottenham Hotspur do not seem keen to sell one of their best players to their London rivals.
With Sahin having denied the possibility of a move away, it seems highly unlikely Real Madrid will attempt to sign Modric. His future currently remains uncertain, with Manchester United also reportedly interested in acquiring his services.
