The Turkish international has endured a miserable debut season in Los Blancos colours and has been tipped for a summer transfer window move away from the Spanish giants.
Real Madrid’s flirtations with Luka Modric have put the future of Nuri Sahin at the Santiago Bernabeu in dark waters. The debate continues to linger about whether he should be given another chance of showing his promise in La Liga or shipped overseas for
more playing time.
There are supporters of the Turkish international, who want him to continue in the Spanish capital and repay the faith of the Madridista, who have cheered his every touch on the ball with enthusiasm.
Sahin has repeatedly took out time to distance himself from transfer speculations, commenting time and time again that he does not watch a change of scenery to prove himself to his employers.
Statements by the former Borussia Dortmund star have been echoed by Jose Mourinho, who remarked at the end of 2011/12 Primera Division campaign that Sahin will continue under his command.
With a year in Real Madrid’s ranks, the Turk still has five years before the expiration date on his contract is reached, a date the Capital club are more than willing to wait for. However, it is the question of playing time that is being disputed at the
moment.
Real Madrid’s triumphant 2011/12 campaign saw http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nuri-Sahin-c28251 grace the pitch in only 10 games, most of which were inconsequential in their end of season objectives.
Los Blancos dressing room is over populated with midfielders at the moment and the addition of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luka-Modric-c22857 is going to make matters worse for the aspiring star. Excessive competition will make only matters worse from him as he juggles with the added pressure
of performing for Real Madrid.
Despite his year of mediocrity in which he suffered from injuries and lack of opportunity, Sahin still have many suitors lining up for his signature. Malaga have shown their interest with Borussia Dortmund in tow, while Tottenham have also wanted to add
him in Luka Modric’s transfer deal.
However, all interested parties have shown preference for an initial loan deal after watching the player burn mentally after his first season in Real Madrid dressing room.
The 5 million Euros annual salary becomes a problem in the situation, as clubs have asked the Spanish giants to bear part of his wages for the duration of the loan deal.
