Nursery Work...(Children)?

I work in a nursery, which is newly build and have been there since the beginning, 3 years on i feel im at the top of my league. I got promoted to senoir in jan. and since just have little motivation due to no new challenges.

Im looking into other nursery work but what other fields could i maybe go into? To furthur my own experience and knowledge. Im only 21 and dont want to turn 40 and only work in nurserys any advice would be great!

  1. do a foundation degree and then apply to do the early years professional status, then you will be top of your game, like me!!


  2. go to college! nothing beats that!

  3. You can work with special needs adults and children, they need attention like very young children, plus you get the experience of health issues.

    You can become an RN and work in a hospital or somewhere with children who are sick and need medical attention as well.

    You can open your own nursery school or business? Or start up a nursery for a high needs area?

    Going to college is definitely the first step.

  4. Maybe move up to toddlers or Pre-school. You would still be working with younger children but there is more of a challenge and it's also a great way to further your education. The pre-school that I work for pays for any extra classes that I need to take so that I am the most knowledgeable that I can be for my children.
