  1. when Dr. miserable walks up to the station just go somewhere else.

  2. You just can't take it personal.

  3. Take him ice fishing. They love to get away.

Cut a hole in the ice. Put a rows of pea around the circle, so it's easy to find. Don't tell the doctor what they are for though.

When the doctor comes up to take a pea, kick him in the icehole.

Like anything else, you have to find out what motivates an individual person. Some like sports, some like their kids, some like to carve wooden ducks. Also, try to do a weekly meeting to discuss problems in the office as long as it's not a "beat up our employees" session.

  4. I smile.  I know that what I think in my head is different than what comes out of my mouth.

However, if its for an interview I would reply, "Not every person is easy to get along with.  I will listen to what the Doctor says but, I also realize that I am the patients advocate so, I do speak up when I feel that it's in the patients best interest while remembering  to be respectful."
