Nursing Scholarships? I recently got accepted to nursing school but I dont have the money :(... HELP!?!?!?

I know how to search for scholarships but I was wondering if anyone knew of some specific ones. I would really appreciate any help at all. I have two kiddos and I have been trying for a while to get into the program.. I really don't want this oppurtunity to go to waste! I do have a pell grant but that doesn't cover all of it. School is outrageously expensive!!!

There are other options. I went to a major hospital and they have a program where they agree to pay for most of my medical school as long as I work for them for 5 years after I graduate. There must be a program like that for nursing. Start talking with health groups in your area and maybe they can steer you in the right direction.

If you can get a job (even part time) in a hospital, most of them will pay for nurses to go to school as long as you agree to work for them for a set number of years after you graduate. That is what I am doing. They are paying for all of my pre-req courses and everything. The only thing they do not pay for is things like books and lab fees .. extra stuff like that. At least 4 other people in my anatomy class last semester were doing the same thing with different area hospitals also. I will have to work for 2 years as an RN for my hosptial after I graduate, but it will be different anywhere you go.

you are very lucky..coz its really hard to get into nursing schools now...try financial aid...and try fastweb.com..it's a legitimate site that helps you find scholarship programs..
