Nursing in Australia. Which visa? Skilled or sponsered?

Hi there,

I have another question about visas for Australia. My Hubby, myself and our two sons aged 14 and 18 plan to emmigrate to Australia.

We are probably going to go with a migration company to help with the visas BUT I have this question

If we go on a sponsered visa for our nursing jobs....does that mean we are tied to that hospital and if anything should go wrong then we would be sent back to UK??

I was wondering if we would be best going on a skilled visa so that we could change nursing jobs if we wanted to do so? Would the skilled give us more flexibility?

Also we plan to emigrate to Australia for good so would the skilled visa be the best one?

I would appreciate your answers please.

  1. I think you are probably better off on a skilled visa if you are eligible (you probably would be).

I wouldn't bother with a migration agent, just fill in the forms available at www.immi.gov.au, the agent is an unnecessary cost.
