Nutrifaster N450 hex nut stuck

Question

hex nut stuck completely stuck and won't come off with the wrench even when hit with hammer. The basket continues to turn. In my opinion this is a very poor design fault as there should be a facility to lock the motor to enable the nut to be freed. Their web site is very poor and gives no support. Their USA numbers do not work in the UK. Oh what to do?
