  1. would be from 2 to 6 in my opinion

it is when they are still very dependent of you but at times they try to be independent...like um...get aquianted with the new world :D

major height developement, and speech..be able to read ur emotions and facial expressions well...interact with other children....

    food..FRUIT! and lots of milk

actually little of everything :D but lessen on the sweets..if they dont eat too much candy now..they wont be too interested in candy later...

whatever children tend to not like..(spinach) later on..try to get them used to it during this time....:D that way later on they will like all sorts of food :D

  2. You should also include whole milk in the diet because the fat in the milk help the nerves to lay down myelin which helps the central nervous system to develop.  Children should NEVER be put on a restrictive diet of any type -- unless a physician has ordered it.  For the most part, children will self-select their foods and the amount of food the eat.  They will eat until they are full and should not eat more.  One serving = the size of their fist.

  3. Early Childhood is the period of life from birth up to nine years old. During this time a child rapidly develops a sense of self, language, social, problem solving, and motor skills.

    Growth and development:

Physical development which included gross motor development, fine motor development, and self-help skills.

Cognitive development which refers to language comprehension, expressive language, and math readiness.

Social-Emotional development in which they develop a self concept, learn to control emotions, learn to share, learn how to respect others, and understand gener roles.

    What they should eat:

It is really important that children develop healthy eating habits. This is a critical time period in which that may develop. Based on the Young Childrens food pyriamid every day they should have... 6 grain servings, 3 veggie survings, 2 fruit servings, 2 meat servings, and 2 dairy servings.
