Question:

Nuvaring and breastfeeding?

by  |  earlier

I had my post partum checkup today, and my doctor started me on nuvaring birth control. He said it may reduce/slow down my milk supply. If i notice any changes in my supply i will discontinue using the ring. Has anyone had any problems while on the ring and breastfeeding?

Remember OB's/Gyn's usually do not have the best breastfeeding info, you should always ask a lactation consultant, or buy the book I mentioned above.
