Well I've been looking up nystagmus on the internet and all the cases dont seem as severe as mine so im beginning to doubt if i even have it....Well I have a very sudden horizontal eye movement, only one, and it stops, usually happens when i read or am on the computer too long, but its been happening since as long as i can remember...its not bothersome or anything, but i was just wondering if anyone has had any similar experiences?

  1. I,m not sure you have nystagmus, but i do. I was born with it. I am 55 yrs old. Only an specialist can diagnose. Yes it is an involuntary "jerking of the eyes" back and forth in my case. I get frequent headaches. Also colors (for instance looking up and down the isles at a grocery store)of the items on the shelves rin together.Reading can be a problem sometimes i read the same line twice. Its an annoying condition to have, but i have to live with it. Go to your dr.for an exam.It is considered a "disability" Feel free toe-mail me with any more questions o.k.? Good luck.
