Do you find either of the above mentioned movies frightening??? Which movie do you think is the most frightening you've ever seen???

Many people think that "The Exorcist" is the scariest, but I also believe that the first "Alien" movie with Sigourney Weaver was terrifying; as a matter of fact, both movies scared the **** out of me!!!

  1. to me "The Exorcist"

  2. I have to say the exorcist, because evil is real!

  3. The exorcist.  When her eyes rolled back into her head it gave me nightmares for months.  I thought Alien was kind of funny and a little boring.  At least the cat lived.

  4. The Exorcist

  5. The Exorcist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. The Exorcist was a lot scarier.  It was also loosely based on a supposedly somewhat true story.  It's hard to get too scared about alien monsters when I know they couldn't possibly be real.

  7. BOTH films were revolutionary in bringing their themes to the cinema screen first.  They are both exceptional pieces of filmmaking art and get right to the core of the viewer, dragging them into intense stories through character development and rich suspense.

It's hard to compare the two (and unfair to ask!) because both are vastly different.

If we're talking 'scare' factor, I was horrified most at The Exorcist, and jumped the most during Alien.

I favor The Exorcist more-so, but both share prime spot on my 'best titles' DVD shelf along with many other classics.

The Exorcist and Alien and honest examples of what genius Hollywood has produced in the past, and proof that this recent trend of remakes is truly unnecessary.

  8. Hands down the Exorcist....EVIL EVIL EVIL MOVIE

  9. Without a doubt, "The Exorcist" is much scarier. They're both amazing movies, though!

  10. i'd say the first high school musical imo

  11. They were and still are, some of the best of the genre and have yet to be beaten. The Exorcist was groundbreaking in it's use of special effects which in no way got in the way of the story which is spell-binding.And repeated viewings for me at least, don't diminish the scare quotient.Alien is really a haunted house story in outer space and the dark and claustrophobic atmosphere add to the creep element in a big way. The last 20 mins are almost impossible to watch but I dare anyone on first viewing to try and look away.

IN SPACE, NO ONE CAN HEAR YOU SCREAM!

  12. exorcist

  13. I haven't seen The Exorcist, but Alien was a pretty good scary movie.

There were perfect parts when things would pop up and scare the c**p out of you when you are least expecting it.

  14. Both of those movies were classic horror but if I had to chose I would say the Exorcist but they are both very good movies.

  15. Alien!

The exorcist doesn't scare me at all.

Maybe because I don't believe in the Devil - but pretty sure there is live out in space somewhere (although I doubt we'll ever find intelligent life).

So it's more plausible to me

  16. both were pretty graphic, but alien

  17. Alien!!! Exorcist you can kindof get your head around almost telling yourself it's humorous or SOMETHING, but Alien was just nasty. And you don't want to think about being in that situation at all so it makes it even worse.
