  1. If I were a beginner.... I would look to see if there is any of Golf Magazine's Top 100 in the area.... If not, your local pro should be good enough to get you started w/ the fundamentals..... Then take that to the driving range & learn muscle memory.... Be patient... it's not an ez game early on. (or after 25 years for that matter)

I'd guess $30-$40 an hour is about the going rate for lessons.  But, alot of courses offer group beginner courses in the springtime.... Look for those & save some cash..... You're gonna need it for all the balls you will surely lose.... Good Luck!

  2. Your local golf pro should do the trick. They are at golf courses, ranges, country clubs, etc.. Anyway i would say for good lessons probably anywhere from 50-100 dollars per half hour

  3. first always look for a PGA certifed instuctor, you can find the on playgolfamerica.com.  Lessons depend on the person and the location where they teach could be anywhere from 30 to 100 dollars a lesson.  good luck to you

  4. If you want a good professional teacher, then go to a good golf course that is expensive to play, go there and request a lesson.

If you are a beginner, talk to some of the golf pros that you might think they are good, then actually have half an hour lesson or an hour.

see if you like the teacher.

For the price matter, just go to a cheap golf course and ask for the golf lesson

  5. I take it you are just beginning. so just take the golf pro in the area right now. if you are getting started, the basic fundamentals will be enough to chew on for awhile.

as far as cost goes, it depends on the duration and your age. for an adult, i wouldn't think any more than $30 for one-half hour lesson.

just one piece of advice: dont get too frustrated too early. really hard game to pick up on, especially if you've never played before. just relax and have fun!
