I recently bought a Cold Air Intake system by AEM. Now, I'm looking to either buy a header or a SS Crank pulley for my car, both of them have good horsepower increase but which one should I buy next in performance upgrade of my car?

  1. Go with the header. You got the better breathing-in part down. Get a header to let it exhale better. Both pieces will complement each other.

    Get the pulley later on.

  2. i say the headers...you need the air flow....the crank would put less stress on the motor but the air flow is still the same...so i say headers first then crank pully

  3. i don't know anything at all about cars, but the SS Crank pulley sounds more interesting.

  4. You will not even notice the upgrades. Headers increase the flow from the exhaust, but this power increase will only be shown at high speeds for long distances. Pulleys decrease the tension on the crank by slowing down the upper pulleys, but it does not necessarily increase power. The pulleys being slowed down will stop overheating at high revs. If you want to increase power, my advice is to chance the Air / Flow. This is installing new intakes, different injectors or Carbs, changing cams out, Turbo, and Superchargers. Superchargers increase the power of an engine by double. They are expensive, but if you do not wast your money on all this other stuff and save for a Supercharger (If available), you'll be much happier.
