The Black Cats boss has expressed confidence that his side will keep their unbeaten form intact, while insisting that his they will aim to bag all three points against Chris Hughton.
Sunderland head coach, Martin O’ Neill, has expressed confidence ahead of his side’s upcoming English Premier League game against Norwich City. The two sides will meet at Carrow Road on Sunday, December 2.
The Black Cats are heading into the game on the back of goalless stalemate against Queens Park Rangers in their midweek’s league encounter at Stadium of Light on November 27.
And the former Aston Villa boss has admitted that his side will put in their 100 percent to bag all three points against the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Canaries-c38723 after putting in a solid performance at home against QPR.
“We got a point against Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 on Tuesday – we were disappointed we didn’t win the game but at least we weren’t beaten. Now we go to Norwich with the chance to extend that unbeaten run – though we’ll be looking to take all three points – and
beyond that we have games coming up where we would like to just keep picking up points”, O’ Neill was quoted as saying to the media.
The Norwich outfit have not suffered a defeat in their last seven Premier League encounters, and the 60-year-old Irish trainer has admitted http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chris-c9006 Hughton’s side did well to climb out of the relegation zone following a poor start to the 2012/13 campaign.
“Unbeaten run is important and I think Norwich have shown a great recent example of the value of that. They had a poor start to the season and were right down there but they’ve now gone on an unbeaten run of seven games which has carried them up the table
and given them confidence”, O’ Neill concluded.
Sunderland have struggled to compete in the highest echelons of English football since the start of the 2012/13 campaign, and are currently sitting 16th in the league standings, only a solitary point clear of the relegation zone.
O’ Neill would be keen to see his side bag all three points in the upcoming encounter.
