  1. No!!!!  When you unbolt the lower unit, depending on the make or model of your drive, you shouldn't have any problem bolting it back in place.  If you have Mercruizer put the gear shift in farward.  There is a bolt under the trim tab, so you have to remove the tab to get to it.  If you have a OMC Put it in neutral gear.  If Volvo Drop the entire drive, But I've never seen one broken.  If outboard, Disconnect the shift rod up at the base of the powerhead.  If you don't know how to drop the lower unit ask!  Okay!!!!

  2. what motor we talkin bout?

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    some motors, the gearcase separates into a top & bottom half.
  3. You'll have to be a bit more precise in your question.  I don't know what the 'Bullet' is for a start!  I presume you're talking about an outboard motor or something?
  4. Get one of these;http://skegprotector.com/
