Yeah the UK's ok for sure. Finest hour, 1947, start of the NHS, closely followed by Fleming's development of penicillin.

PS. I know penicillin came before the NHS, but in order of it's importance it wouldn't have been much use to us if we couldn't have got it.

Hard to say, Waterloo, Agincourt, WW1, WW2, The Empire, Britains great Inventions and Discoveries, the Elizabethan Age, The Industrial Revolution......former colonists may even say creating their countries...ie America, Australia, Canada, New Zealand wouldnt exist without Britain....nor would the modern states of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia etc.

It could be when we accept that we are part of Europe and not the 51st State of the USA.

Would it not be a great day for Britain when the voting population finally understood that the political party in opposition makes grandiose statements about improving schools, health care, roads, the rail system and reducing the tax burden, but never get round to explaining how they are going to finance these plans?
