O2 PAYG: Can you re-activate an old sim card?

I have an old 02 pay as you go sim card , which was active approximately 3 years ago, but disconnected it as i lost it.

But now ive found it, does anyone know if i can re-activate it?

I also have a T-Mobile number i would like to transfer over to this simcard (via the PAC code)

But is this possible as when i lost the o2 sim i transferred that number to a new o2 sim, so technically this old sim has no number?

Im going to ask o2 tomorrow but wanted to see if anyone here knows. :)

  1. There's no number assigned to the old sim card = no network... What I'm guessing they would do is take the sim number and assign the T-Mobile number to it. The PAC code moves your number from one network to the other, but there is no network on this sim so I don't know if the PAC code would be of much use. What I think you could do first is phone T-Mobile and ask them first, if they can assign your number to the inactive sim card using the sim number. Explain to them how it was on O2 first, etc etc, see what they say and then call O2 after that if you need to.

But wait, I don't understand why you would want to move your T-Mobile number to this sim anyway? Is it 'cos you wanna go back on O2 but keep your T-Mobile number? If so, it would be a lot easier if you just get a new O2 sim card free from their website http://freesim.o2.co.uk/messages.php and move the number on to that http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/srvs/cgi-bin/...
