OCR GCSE History - How to do sources?

I seriously don't get them. How do you do them? Helppp!

just look at the sources and write down what they tell you, and take pieces out and explain what they mean

I struggle with these questions also. However, I generally spend a minute or two observing, write down what is actually in the source and then explain why. Remember to look at extra details such as a note at the bottom eg. "produced in britain in 1923" and explain the effect this could have eg "biased source".
