ODI series win a huge boost for Australia in Tests against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Harris-c61739 – Cricket News Update
Australia’s seasoned all-rounder, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808.
After being thrashed in the first couple of Twenty20 Internationals, the Aussies bounced back in style, sealing the ODI series 3-2. Having notched a comprehensive victory in 50-over cricket, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746’s next big challenge is to display a good show in the
traditional form of the game, starting with the Galle Test, from August 31, 2011.
Although, the islanders are confident about their chances in the 5-day game, Harris believes that the Aussies will be the clear favourites in the clash since they are coming with huge confidence and buoyancy after the ODI triumph.
“Obviously winning that series going into the Test series is a massive boost for us and definitely the momentum is with us,” said Harris who is one of the seven Aussie Test squad cricketers who were not part of limited-over side.
Despite admitting the fact that Kangaroos failed to produce anything special in the longer version of the game, recently the 31-year-old all-rounder hoped to see Australia back on the winning ways under the leadership of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Clarke-c1978, who will be leading
the side in his first Test outing as skipper.
Talking about http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RT-Ponting-c2377’s exit, Harris was confident about Clarke's ability to lead the crew, given the time he spent as Ponting's deputy.
"Obviously he's spent a lot of time under http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ricardo-Gouveia-c84824 (Ponting) and learnt off Ricky, he's captained all through his junior cricket and for NSW.  He's been very good, I've had a couple of chats with him and he's very supportive of me and it's exciting, I'm looking
forward to playing under him," added the New South Wales-born cricketer who is making his comeback into the national side after staying out of the scene for a long time due to fitness problems.
