  1. Didn't see this one coming.

Good signing though, I've got no complaints.

  2. he was good for the pen's too last year. oh well guess you cant keep em all.

    BOOM

  3. Huet wont go for a back up position. He will most likely go to back Caps before he goes to Pens. sorry. Hey Emery is still available.

  4. If you can't beat them, join them, eh?

  5. Good pickup for Detroit. He has some potential and playoff experience, he has the chance to be a starter. He will add depth to the goalie spot and if he does not play well, they will just not sign him next season...

  6. Guess he felt he had a better chance at a CUP...... actually he is guaranteed 35 starts there if he plays well with the WINGS alternate system! He can pad numbers again for a year and then go get MORE MONEY next summer. Smart move on his part for his career!

    750k is cheap...

  7. : (

no they have a bunch of good ones on the farm team and just picked some up in the draft

  8. ='(

    Noooooooo. Don't remind me. =/

  9. Sounds like Howard has a challenge for backup :)

  10. I think the Pens envision Marc Andre like a Roberto Luongo.  They're going to give him a big workload from now on, so the Pens don't really need a great backup.  The backup won't play much.  It also will save them some money for their other free agents.

  11. Why the h**l would Huet go to the Pens?  He's NOT a backup goalie!

And I'm pretty sure the Shero would not pay a backup goalie 3-4 million to play 20-30 games.  They need to concentrate on other positions, goaltending is not there problem.  Fleury is still young!!!!!

  12. where r u getting this from? and dont say tsn or nhl.com. ive been to both. in the last minute.

  13. i love it!!!!!!!!! wooooo hoooooo!

  14. seriously? dang. lol

  15. Woww what a steal... 750k? Seriously the Wings are on a roll right now. I'm so happy :)

  16. Pittsburgh can't afford Huet. He won't sign up to be a backup. That's not happening.

Conklin's a solid, veteran goalie. He's over-rated, but the Wings were not going to do any better for under a million. They have to resign Filpula, and extend the contracts for Franzen and Zetterberg. With that in mind, Conklin was a good pick.
