no, it's not wrong, just a normal natural part of growing up. EVERYONE gets crushes on older people who are in positions of trust, there's a lot to look up to.

varying random crushes occur during adolescence (sometimes further) and can even be homosexual-even if you don't always feel homosexual.  it's just your body and mind's way of sorting out who you are and what's best for you!

The only problem that could occur is if the teacher starts reciprocating Alma's feelings - then Parents and/or teachers MUST to be told as this is an abuse of trust and Alma!

It is a crush!  It happens so often with young girls and their teacher.  It is an infatuation that will pass with time.  If it was the other way round and your teacher had a crush on Alma - now THAT  would be wrong.  Alma having a crush on him - perfectly normal.

It's not that unusual for a student to develop a crush on a teacher and it's harmless as long as no action is taken by either party.  

I had a crush on one of my science teachers in junior high school (I think it's called middle school these days).  I got good grades in that class just so I could hear him say "good job"  and smile at me when he handed me an A+ scored paper.  It went no further than that.  When I was no longer in his class, the crush went away.

Well, you cant control who you fall in love with, so its not technically wrong. It's just something that she is going to have to get over, because I don't really think the science teacher is in love with a 14 year old. Just let her get over him, because I'm pretty sure by next year when he wont even be your science teacher anymore, she will have forgotten about him over the summer. If she has a boyfriend though, she should let him know. Maybe you should tell the science teacher that your friend likes him, or the crush could just get deeper. If you tell him, then he might be able to explain to her that he is too old for her and it is illegal for a teacher to even think about a student in that type of way.

Is the feeling mutual?  If so someone needs to report it to proper authorities.  It is normal to be in love  with your teacher it's the power  that attracks us when were young and as we get older we want the power ourselves.  Going any farther  than just thinking of him or her would destroy alot of lives.  Keep it as a crush and you can cherish it  when you get older , there's a song and saying Thank God for unanswered prayers, you will understand when you  get to mature.  What you want as a teenager is usually the opposite when you get older
