  2. idk but thats weird

  3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Locust_bean...

google it before you freak out little girl its not made of bugs

  4. hah that's funny. :P  Locust bean gum is also known as carob bean gum. It is a thickening agent.

You should be more concerned with the other ingredients in the ice cream like high fructose corn syrup, red coloring, and sugar, those are what will cause many problems for your health, including cancer.

Get ice cream that only as a few ingredients, and with unrefined sugar, like organic sugar. Look for organic ice creams, they have a lot at Whole Foods. Regular sugar despite what many people say is NOT good in moderation. Regular white sugar is refined, filtered through cow bones, and heated to such high temperatures that it is literally a dead food, and ends up leaching nutrients out of your body and wrecking havoc on your health.

  5. Listen to me hon.

If you want to save your skin, and not risk dying in your thirties, ABSTAIN FROM MICKEY D'S!!

I don't care how "Healthy" they try to make it. It is still scum!!

  6. Look at the labels of ANY ice cream in the freezer department of your grocery.  The ONLY natural ice cream is BREYER'S (only cream, sugar & flavor).....All of the others (Ben & Jerry's, Hagen Daz, etc.) have a bunch of artificial ingredients that you can't pronounce and don't know what they are;  including locust bean gum........

  7. You think McDonal is bad, try Burger King........... they are worst !!!!

  8. Locust bean gum (also known as carob gum, carob bean gum, carobin, E410) is a galactomannan vegetable gum extracted from the seeds of the Carob tree. It is used as a thickening agent and gelling agent in food technology. It is soluble in hot water

  9. OK, TX2step. You're officially an idiot. I've been in the ice cream biz for 20 years and you are WRONG. Here's a link to check out the ingredients of Haagen Dazs. There are others as well. http://www.haagen-dazs.com/ingredients/i...

Please don't mislead people with unresearched "facts".

  10. lol! you have actually made me laugh! Tell me you didn't think it was anything to do with locust?

carob is "fake"  or vegan chocolate. nothing to worry about.

Carob powder and carob chips are used as an ingredient in cakes and cookies. Carob is sometimes used as a substitute for chocolate.  The seeds, also known as locust beans, are used as animal feed. They are also the source of locust bean gum, a thickening agent used in making gelato. In Egypt, carobs are consumed as a snack. Crushed pods are used to make a refreshing drink. Compotes and liqueurs are made from carob in Portugal, Spain and Sicily. Carob has proven effective in relieving diarrhea in infants.
