  1. Only two male hamsters can live together.  Female hamsters are natualy more aggresive so that they can protect their young.  Please, get a diffrent cage before they kill each other and I am not joking.

  2. well, if they fight over wheels/food dishs... get seconds! =]

  3. hamsters should not go together EVER! they are solo animals naturally... so they wont be together in captivity either. get another cage and split them up before the stronger one attacks the other one. usually you will just wake up to a half eaten hamster... not pleasant..

  4. awwww! they are so cute! but you should definetly separate them immediatly! hamsters become very territorial...

  5. They fight because they both want the wheel at the same time, get two wheels so they can both have there own :D

  6. Get a bigger cage and separate them. Split it in half. Or buy another 10 gal tank and separte them.

  7. they do that its not a bad thing.my mice do that to/ther males tho but hey.id say if u wanna stop it even tho its not bad ten get a 15 to 20 gl tank

  8. Bigger is better but its the same with all dwarf hammies when they get a little bit older they get grouchy. If you have multiple hammies you are supposed to have multiple of everything, they don't like to share, so get a bigger tank and get 2 wheels, two houses. You do not need 2 food dishes as they will take the food and hide it somewhere just for them and you don't need two waters as they can share water don't worry. A trick to keep your hammies happy and not  fight is to make their home fun and switch it up each week. Put toilet paper tubes in get chew toys from the pet store and every week just put them in different places, change the scenery. Do make sure ever day that there are no wounds as they can hurt each other, If the fighting gets worse and you find frequent injuries you will have to separate them. Don't feel bad they wont miss each other they are very solitary little animals all they need is a little attention from you. Please note that if you separate them for more then a day and some times a few hours when you try to put them back together they may fight and they may not stop till the other is dead, in which case you must keep them separate from that day forward. SO first thing you should do is get a bigger tank put two wheels and two houses in. If you do not have the money at the moment switch things up in their cage make it interesting, even just cleaning it to get rid of their smells will make them spend a lot of time marking their territory again and will keep them busy. As soon as you can afford another wheel and house get them!! then upgrade to a better tank. Hope this helps.

For the record only dwarf hamsters can live in groups once adults so many people will say they can't live together but they are talking about normal teddy bear Syrian hamsters, the normal sized ones. Dwarfs can live in pairs and sometimes with more then just pairs just keep an eye on them.

  9. Separate them! If they were not raised together from birth it is unlikely they will get along. It is true, females are very aggressive and will fight to the death. I'm sure you don't want that happening, so you should get another cage immediately!

  10. 10 gallons is a bit small. I would recommend you try a 15-20 gallon tank. Then, get another wheel and food bowl, so that you have two and they won't feel competition for them. It may lower the risk of them fighting over territory and resources.

  11. Almost every breed of hamster has to live by itself. If I were u I would put them in separate cages before 1 kills the other.

  12. If they were from the same liter they should get along but woman r more agressive when hamsters. Seperate them or one will eat the other. Not kidding.
