  1. Hi Neighbor,

I also live in NE Ohio and grew up near Kennywood.  It is a lovely old-fashioned park with great coasters and kids rides and last time I checked, less expensive that Cedar Point.

    It may even be closer.

Both parks are great, but if you're at Kennywood and the weather turns nasty, you can hop on over to the Carnegie Museum and show the kids the best dinosaur collection around.

Have a geat time wherever you end up.

  2. I live in Indiana and there is a place called Holiday World if you dont mind a little drive. It is a very nice place, they base the park on Holidays and even Santa is there. There is alot of shade, free drinks, free suntan lotion and free parking. It is nice for kids alot of tame rides and a huge water park. General Admission $39.95

    Guest-Under-54"/Senior (Age 60+) $29.95 Bring a Pepsi can for a discount.

It is in Santa Claus Indiana.

  3. I know you said northeast Ohio, but Kings Island's kids area has been voted best kids' area in the world by Amusement Today for the 7th year in a row. These are the same people who voted Cedar Point as best amusement park in the world 10 years in a row. Check out the kids' rides here:

It's in Mason, Ohio northeast of Cincinnati. If you get a chance to come down here, you and the kids will both love it. It's no Cedar Point, but it's my hometown park and a place no one should pass up the chance to visit.

  4. cedar point by far is the best but it is pricey!local fairs and festivals are starting for the season also. have fun!
