MORE POETRY
FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER,
AS A LITTLE GIRL.
I WAS "CHASING DREAMS",
WHILE MY FRIENDS PLAYED WITH TOY'S.
SOME DREAMS,
BECAME CHALLENGES I'D FACE.
THE WIND REMOVED FROM MY SAILS,
I'D FALL BEHIND IN THE RACE.
BUT I FOUND MY WAY, AND SET MY PACE.
SOME DREAMS, HAVE BECOME NIGHTMARES.
SUCH AS MARRIAGE, OR A SPOUSE THAT CARES.
SOME DREAMS, PEOPLE TAKE FOR GRANTED.
I'D NEVER HAVE THAT HONOR,
OF BEING SO ENCHANTED.
SUCH A STRANGE, YET TRUE CLICHE.
ONE PERSON'S TRASH, IS ANOTHER ONE'S TREASURE.
SOME COUPLES ENJOY EACH OTHER.
YET, I'D NEVER EXPERIENCE THAT PLEASURE.
DREAMS I CHASE NOW, I'VE LOWERED THE BAR.
THE'RE MORE REALISTIC, AND DON'T SEEM SO FAR.
Do we All Chase Impossible Dreams?
Thanks
