It all started when we took our 2 month old to the docter. We were told by our baby sitters that he wasn`t moving his right arm, about three days before that we heard a pop, he didn`t cry or never had a bruise or was swollen anywhere, and so we brought him to get x-rays and found that he had his arm fractured, and they said that he also had other fractures that were in healing stages, Now the cops were called and they came in blameing me from the start sayin that my wife is a gil and is not strong enough and i`m a guy and is strong enough so there for you did this, i DID NOT do this but was arrested. On the paper work they said i said things that i didnt say and my wife didnt say and my aunt which they questioned later didnt say all things that counted which they could arrest me on.We got second oppinion and they think he has OI whch is brittle bone disease but the test came back neg . Anyhow since i have been out on bail my wifes dad has said in front of my wife i`m sorry to our son i didnt mean to hurt you and another time, her dad has bipolar and some other mentale problems he think our son is and angle from heaven on a mission and his missions almost over and thinks that he`ll turn them into snakes or the joker off of bat man if he looks at them, he also came to my house which i`m staying at cause i`m not alowed with our sons and keep appologizing to me and saying its all his fault , he believes that jesus talks to him and stuff and he alsosaid that he was afraid to hurt him to me.I told my lawyer this and just was wondering wat you think will happen

  1. Idk, but u r not arrested because they dont have laptops in jail!!

  2. It sounds like FIL might be to blame he has come over saying sorry its his fault and that he is bipolar and the whole Jesus thing and missions sounds like he might have done something. First thing you need to do talk to your lawyer and ask about the law on tape recording or video taping someone so you have your proof about what your FIL is saying. You need to have your son test more. They can tell if the past injuries are abuse or if there is underlying problems. You need to talk to all your friends and have them send letters saying about your temper (hopefully lack there of) if they think your a great dad and a wonderful husband then have them right that. They need it signed by them and go to a back to have it notarized. Also You past police record (again hopefully lack of) will work for or against you if you have none and never been in trouble with the law and stuff let your lawyer know thats a fighting point. You need to help your lawyer build your case. GL

  3. I wish you the best regarding this apparent injustice. I hope your lawyer is as effective as humanly possible. Stay strong and resolute; hang in there!

  4. Get a good lawyer, not a mediocre one.  It is hard to believe that a policeman can lie on the report he/she writes, but my son also had this happen  in "Dumass", Texas.  The police count on the aura of authority in the courtroom.  A good lawyer will sniff this out and can get you justice.  The problem is that a good lawyer costs good money whereas the prosecutor is paid for by our tax dollars.  Kind of unfair when all the policeman and the prosecutor are looking for is a conviction and don't really care about the people involved.  Your dad doesn't sound like he's bipolar.  I should know as I have inlaws that are and this isn't how a bipolar acts.  Perhaps he was misdiagnosed???

  5. You have a baby with multiple fractures in different stages of healing. This has been proven through medical testing. You've told the police that its someone else, based on hearsay from your father in law. And you say the police don't believe your story? Hmmm. I can't see why not. Unless you can get someone else to come forward and admit they did it, you're not going to get any sympathy from the police. Good thing you have a lawyer.

  6. Its not fair, you are getting the rep of a child abuser is it worth it???

  7. First of all, I don't believe the cops lied to you or about you.  Any cop that knows anything knows a woman can not be ruled out just b/c she's a girl, that's BS.  Most abusers are the mothers believe it or not.  Have you questioned your wife; postpartum plus mental illness background could play a role here.

Why would a cop lie about what you said in the paperwork when he's the one that has to prove it b/c you are innocent until proven guilty?Who makes up a lie he has to prove is true just to make an arrest? Why waste his own time? What cop wouldn't want to find the real j******f that breaks a baby's bones?

For that matter, why wouldn't your lawyer explain to you what might happen and save you this question on Yahoo, that is unless you are trying to see if anyone would believe your story about your father in-law so you can get idea how far you can push it.

Let me just say, it takes more than just your word against a cop's to put you in jail and keep you away from your kids. If anything you said was true, you would have a whopping civil rights case.  Either way, I hope your child stays safe.

  8. Maintain your innocence and when the time comes have your wife and aunt testify on your behalf to straighten up what was lied about on the original interview they had with the police.  If you know who did it or how it could have possibly happened by accident then you need to have hardcore proof because it will be your burden to show the proof that someone else did it.  In our judicial system with the way juries are now, you are guilty until proven innocent when it comes to child abuse cases, which is wrong but thats how it is.  Some babies are just born with weak bones and the slightest movement can break them...if your baby goes to a baby sitter then I think they should do an investigation to rule her out.  Also the grandfather seems to be a nut case, has he ever been around the baby alone b/c he could have done it if he lost his temper.

  9. The cops lie all the d**n time. You will spend time in jail even though it was not your fault.
