OK, if the Irish government is so skint, why is it wasting money on new road signs?

A few years ago it spent a fortune changing our road signs from miles to metric, now (in Inishowen at least, but I assume more likely than not, everywhere) they are sticking new signs with numbers on most of the streets. Now, for example, I live in 'L5661'. They can't afford to reduce class sizes or improve hospitals, but they can afford these pointless signs.

Why?

They are trying to force all of us into paying for health care.   The money wasted on the M50 upgrade was enough to run our hospitals for decades.  Use your vote in the upcoming referendum, vote no as a protest.
