Please give the "Lincoln was an atheist c**p" a rest. Every single President to date has been a Christian.

  1. No more Christmas, so no more Santa Claus!

  2. Not by much, but it'd be a start. It would put the religious community more at ease with Atheists and hopefully we'd be less hated. He could be free from judgment clouded by scripture, and I'd hope he could find a way to stop the discrimination against Atheists as a whole. We're not allowed to get elected into certain states, our non religious children are not allowed to join the boy scouts who are funded by the government, it's all terribly annoying and I hope something could be done.

  3. Nothing, as far as I know.  Just because candidates give lip-service to a religion doesn't mean they actually follow it.

You DO need to read the constitution a bit more closely, however.  Look for the word "veto" while you're there.

  4. I'm not an atheist I believe in GOD

but if ever have one to be our president we will  be in a peck of trouble

we will have a false leader after the rapture he is the anti christ

  5. "The Bible is not my book nor Christianity my profession. I could never give assent to the long, complicated statements of Christian dogma."

    - Abraham Lincoln, American president (1809-1865).

So now you know that Lincoln was an Atheist :)

It's been shown that the more intelligent a group of people is the higher the percentage of atheists (or agnostics) will be. For this reason alone I sincerely hope Lincoln wasn't the only atheist president. The sad thing is that because of the how religious Americans tend to be it can be difficult for your politicians to come out as being non-religious if they want a successful career. In countries such as Australia or England religion rarely even comes up in regards to our politics.

  6. most former presidents were atheist.

  7. My guess is a lot more vetos on stupid bills.

  8. There would be no difference the world as we know it is over.......

    THANKS ALOT BUSH!!!!

  9. LOL We wouldn't have to worry about "God Bless America", let alone which God we're asking to bless America.

I'd actually be interested in that, and Im not even atheist. :)

  10. Not much. It would just be a first. Well, an /official/ first. Plus, they wouldn't just make decisions based on religion. Whether or not those decisions are passed or not is irrelevant, because at least the president wouldn't decide based on that.

If that makes any sense whatsoever xD I'm tired.
