I know there's a way to get a diploma signed by your parent/teacher but I don't know the process by which you get this diploma. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

  1. It depends on your local laws. If you don't have anything stating that you have to test out or do anything through your local county or state then your parents can print their own diploma at home or have one professionally done online. Here is a great link for them.

We bought ours at Office Max/Office Depot

  2. Did your parents homeschool you according to Kentucky law?  In Tennessee, we have 2 choices... going through the local board of education, or registering through a private school that sponsors homeschoolers.  My son graduates Saturday, and we got his diploma from the private school where we have had him registered since 2nd grade, Gateway Christian School in Memphis, Tennessee.   This was signed by the Gateway officials, not by us.

If you just want a nice certificate, you can design one and print it out yourself if you have a good printer.  Use pretty parchment paper if you like, or heavy cardstock.  You can find sample diplomas online and use them as a guide.  However, these may not be legally recognized and might need to be backed up by passing the GED test in your state.

Congratulations on your accomplishment!  God bless you!

  3. Congratulations! It's refreshing to see someone who has had the luck to be left out of the government-run sheep indoctrination centers. I see great things for you!

  4. your so lucky to be home schooled but to bad cause I go to a actual school!!!

  5. I'm so happy to see other home schoolers! I was home schooled grades 1-12, graduated in 2006. I loved being home schooled and I plan to home school when I have children. But to answer your question...

Go on the Internet and find a diploma and buy it. It's about $25 for a nice diploma and a book that it's in--you know, the blue or maroon thing they put it on. It's easy to find a place that sells diplomas.

    Hope that helps! =)

  6. Here's some detailed information from HSLDA about homeschool diplomas.

Congrats on completing your coursework and graduating!!!
