I've spent from $5 at a dollar store to about $38 on indoor tv anntennas. The best results I've gotten were from the cheapy no-name-brand dollar store anntenna. With this digital switch, what kind of anntenna works best for the converter box, or even before I need to get the box? There is a lot of lousily made electronics made. I won't mention the brand, but I spent over $1,400 on a computer system less than 2 years ago, and it couldn't be repaired for under $850. It needed a new mother board, a new hard drive, and a new power supply. That was a lot of money for lousy quality. I have a computer now over 8 years old with a hard drive I found in someone's garbage, that a store put into this computer and it only costed $80 to do. So, when I'm in need of a great quality indoor tv anntenna, I not looking to spend a lot, if it's going to be lousy too.

  1. The best antennas are usually outdoor antennas unless you live close to the stations.  That said, if you cannot install an antenna outdoors look for an indoor antenna with 35 dB gain or more from a powered amplifier (plugs into the wall).  Make sure you point the antenna to each station you are trying to watch.
