I have been dating my fiance for 10 years. We briefly seperated 2 years ago, but quickly got back together two months later. We...erm....celebrated when we got back togehter and a week later I found out I was pregnant. We were overjoyed.

But now, two months before my wedding, I guy I saw while me and my fiance seperated. He claims that I had s*x with him and McKenna(my 2 year old daughter)is his. Well, I don't remember EVER having s*x with this man. He told me one night, about two weeks before I got back together with my fiance, that he got me drunk and I had s*x with him.

My fiance heard about this and is crushed. I'm absouloutley positive that McKenna is my fiance's. My fiance thinks so too. But the guy I dated claims he is the father. Either way, my fiance says that he'll always be McKenna's dad.

But I really want the guy I saw off my back! Should I get a DNA test? Should I cut off all contact? What should I do? HELP!

  1. Definitely get the DNA test. You can Google places like Gene Base, and they'll send you a kit, and you can mail it to them for analysis. It can be a little pricey, but it sounds like it would be worth it.

  2. First, i must say you have a dream man there. Many would have ran the other way. That's true love and it hasn't been diminished by what did or didn't happen during that two month break. As for the other guy, i don't see how the DNA test can be avoided. Your fiance know's he is McKennas dad regardless but the other guy isn't just going to fade into the background. He sounds like a really bitter person and would probably begin legal proceedings. Best to just get the DNA test done and get him out of your life for good. The question however is, though the chances are remote, what would you do if the test indicated that he was the father? He obviously wouldn't stand much chance of gaining custody/visitation rights as the conception was a product of non-consensual intercourse.  All said and done, you'd do well to keep him out of your life. You might want to speak to a professional about date rape and your options.

  3. The only way you can get this resolved for definite is to get a DNA test.  All parties must be willing though.

  4. I suggest you get a DNA test because this guy can actually take YOU to court over this and subpoena a DNA test and have all court costs as well as the test come out of your pocket.  At least this way you'll only have to pay for the DNA test.

  5. Well if I were in your situation, I would get a DNA test.  If you don't recall being intimate with this guy, then chances are your fiance is her dad.  And if the DNA test proves that, then you have nothing more to worry about!!

If this guy really wants to push it, he can go to family court and ask them to order a DNA test.  And legally you'll have to submit your daughter for a DNA test anyway.

    Good Luck!

  6. DNA test, but you should remember sleeping with him.

  7. Go to Maury.

  8. You should get the DNA test ASAP!  They are not that expensive.  Either way, you will know the truth and can go on from there.  Do  you remember getting drunk with him?  You would at least remember the start of the drinking.  If you didn't get drunk with him, then, obviously he is crazy, or, could he have every drugged you with the date rape drug?  He doesn't sound like he is a very nice person.  Just some things to think about.  Get the test.

  9. Get a DNA test and be done with it....no one can argue with the truth and a test will tell it.

  10. I think in the long run it doesn't matter, your babies daddy is the man who cares for you and your baby.... but honestly.....

apply at the maury povich show lol... no jk thats not funny, but for real, it is obviously a responsible thing to do as a parent to know your childs background.... What if there were serious health problems that needed to be addressed to you prior to delivery or something?!  Just a caution notice, .... better to be safe then sorry :-) good luck
