  1. A lot of people are scared of thunderstorms/lightning, so you're not alone (myself included).  The safest places to be during a storm are inside a secure/enclosed building (such as your house, an office building, school building etc).  However, be sure to unplug appliances during the storm and do NOT use landline phones or water during the storm, as lightning can travel through pipes, electrical and telephone lines.  A car offers some safety as well, but make sure you don't touch any metal objects in the car.  Avoid being around water, near metal objects or underneath trees if you are caught outdoors during a thunderstorm.  Crouch down with your feet together and cover your ears to avoid hearing damage from thunder.

  2. Just go into a closet where you feel safe.

No, not unless you are touching metal connected to the house or if you are near a window.

    But it's not likely

  3. open your televison or music player in loud volume... :)

  4. Don't you worry little girl, Concentrate to something else, just ignore those thunder sounds, It won't hurt you inside your house. I'm your Angel.

  5. My sister is afraid of lightning what i do is just try to play with her and distract her. You could go to your basement, or your room and put some loud music on to cover up the noise. They say to over come your fears is to face them. Go outside and enjoy the weather =P

  6. Then stop ACTING like a baby! By the time you hear thunder, the threat is over. Just stay in the house and you will be safe.

  7. You're safe inside the house so theres nothing to worry about. If you don't want to hear those noises get yourself an earphone and listen to the music from a Cellphone or portable CD, Just take it off in your mind.
