OK I really want to play Rugy. So how can I tryout for a Currie Cup Rugby Team. I from USA?

I love USA Football but right now its looking hard to play for a team. How can I tryout for a Currie Cup Ruby Team. I'm Young and I would like to play so I can get my feet wet playing for a Currie Cup team over seas. I'm from USA so can someone give me alot of info. PLuse I would go over seas to tryout.

  1. Play for a Rugby Team in the US first.

    Regardless of your talent, you'll be much more useful to any team if you know the rules and have a bit of experience. Also, almost any club in is going to contain players/executives who have connections overseas and they may be able to assist you. Not necessarily with a Currie cup level team but certainly an overseas team.


  2. I'm assuming from your question then that you must have a bit of talent, because the Currie Cup is not for amateurs. But it makes me wonder, if you want to play competitively at a high level and travel, why not go to the mecca of rugby, and play in New Zealand? There are plenty of club teams, and a very well structured system. And of course it is a lovely place to live
