OK I wanna be a NASCAR driver!?

Question

I know what I need to prepare but how would I? As in like Can I get a ride with a Truck team? Not like "What to do to be a NASCAR driver". I know that much.

I wanna be on "Cash Cab".

You can be anything you want if you work hard enough.   A race team to start in Hooters Cup or something would help but nowadays it simply takes money.  If you find investors that are willing to put up money for you to get in the best possible equipment and win some races you may get a shot at a truck ride to start with or Arca.  I wasn't putting you down.  I have a heart but I really do want to be on "Cash Cab"   lol

If you have to ask...

All you need is a natural talent and agression for the sport.

Be in the right place at the right time with the right people around, and start making enemies by beating all the competition. Someone will snatch you up like a $100 bill blowing down the sidewalk. It's a feeling. Can you feel it? If you can't, forget it.

well if you are serious, invite one of the truck owners to watch you race.........!

you have to have racing experience.......

or just do a richard petty thing.......! alot of drivers and car owners sit and watch you.......!

i know people send resumes to GIBBS all the time.... asking him to come and watch them race.... and i have heard that he does.....!

who doesn't want to be a nascar driver but it take allots of practics and it is to hard to a nascar driver and you have to start really young to be one only thing i have to say try to good for it and good luck

Why are you asking how to get in to racing if below you say you have already been racing.?

"I've raced and been around racing all my life!"

you can fill out resumes found on several race team sites, often you have to start out as a hired hand on a team, often even volunteering first to prove yourself. you could do like carl edwards and print up biz cards and circulate them, some teams, like roush racing, have yearly contests to earn a ride in the ncts. racing at eldora, hickory motor speedway, batesville motor speedway, and whatever the name of that one kenny schrader owns is prob. a good way to get noticed.  don't let anyone discourage your dream. tony raines didn't make it til his 40's, biffle til his 30's.......its never too late!  maybe offer to race for free for the smaller teams for a race or two just for exposure. the arca series is a great way to get noticed if you could get a car together for it. send out resumes to anyone you can obtain an address for. deliver them in person to any garages you are near or can get to.  make sure you spell out clearly any experience, education, and acheivements that prove your qualification. be determined, not deperate! prove that you would be an asset to them, be respectful and treat no job as too small.....take pride in any task/opportunity you are offered. i wish you success and happiness.

if you are older than 12 then you can kiss that dream goodbye. You have to get involved with a local racing program. then you eventually move up into some national racing, then into something like ARCA or the Camping World Series or Whelen Modifieds. Then if you're good you can get to either the trucks or nationwide but the trucks is a waste of life.

Lots of work, and start racing at local tracks. Make a name for yourself, then move up to national. Then MAYBE, somebody in the Nationwide series will hear of you, but it is a long shot. So good luck.
