  1. I would exchange Calgary and Minnesota.  Calgary is a much better team.  I don;t follow the easterners.

  2. Minnesota lost 3 top 6 forwards  (replaced them with old guys) and their Franchise player says HE WILL NOT SIGN IN MINNESOTA, again.. Gaborik! Minnesota is in for a long year.

Tampa- I think they make the playoffs, at the least!

Ottawa- Sorry.. Gerber and Auld wont do it for them. They have a weak core of Dmen and if you can keep the first line down to one or 2 goals, you can beat them.... Sorry Ottawa fans... your streak is over, will be an early summer for that team. The only way they make the playoffs is by making a few trades and upgrading Dcore and goaltending!

  3. I think the Devils will be a little higher up than 7th, considering they gained more players than they lost last season, and were 4th in 2008.  I also think Tampa will grab the last place spot in the East.

  4. ok pens are first not canadiens and the bolts are going to make the playoffs if mike smith turns out to be a good goalie or if kolzig does what he did in 98

  5. I have to agree that Detroit doesn't make the playoffs. lol

  6. I don't think Minnesota will even make the playoffs let alone win their division. Also I think Atlanta will have the fewest points in the league this year. I also think Tampa will make the playoffs. And I don't think Ottawa will make the playoffs either. I also think the Avs will finish higher than what they are predicted to finish.

  7. The truth is the so called experts are not the ones in charge of deciding who is going to do good or bad in the NHL. It will be up to the teams to decide.

The Coyotes and the Lightning will make the playoffs but the otes will do better than the Lightning.

  8. Toronto will be between 4th and 8th. Flames will be 3rd or better. The Caps will be right were they say they are. This is all of course IMO based on the data I have available now.

  9. Well..It seems they have alot of confidence in Carey Price to get Montreal to the Number 1 slot again.Honestly I would move Pittsburgh, Philly and Washington ahead of the Habs.

  10. i cant see how the devils went down, they gained nearly 40 more goals, which scoring was their weakness, i dont see how ottawa went up, considering they lost redden, and goaltending is still their problem, and i still dont see carolina as a playoff contender

for the west, i see nashville or pheonix taking a playoff spot instead of minnesota, and edmonton, as much as i hate to say it, will take the division

  11. I dont think washington should be so high even though they are my fav. team and penguins should be farther down and tampa should be higher up.

calgary should be higher up same with the kings

    everything else is pretty legit

  12. this is all wrong the Sabres have nowhere but up to go

  13. I believe Tampa will make the Playoffs.. That's all I'm really sure of right now.

  14. I don't see Minnesota winning their division, if they make the playoffs at all.  Washington will probably win their division.  I don't think NYR will come in as low as 6th, but the rest is pretty close to what I would have predicted.  I would probably pick Calgary to win the Northwest though, call me old fashioned.

  15. Oh, Right !!!! No way are the Isles are worse than my Leafs. I mean really, c'mon. Blake Antroponi isn't just some underachieving 4'rd line checker, that's our top line.

And 3 S/E teams finishing ahead of Boston and Buffalo, not happening.

I get the feeling the writer spent too much time looking at last season's finishing order and not enough time looking at what's been going on. He should have come here (Y!A hockey section) first to get a few valid opinions.

In the west, I can see the 'Yotes getting a taste and the Oilers coming up short. Calgary is a better team than the Wild, not to mention better than Edmonton.
