OK OK I know another Sundin question?

Question

BUT now my most favorite team in the world the Flyers are in the running for Mats..Now I'm very realistic and I don't think this is going to happen BUT if it does what line do you think Mats would play AND do you move Richards to the Number 3 line even though he's going to be your captain?

First of all, thank you for a real hockey question in this section. I doubt it will happen with their salary cap situation, but if they pull it off he would be a great fit. He no longer can be "The Man", but he wouldn't have to be in Philly. They would have great depth if Gagne can make it back too. (And stay healthy)

For the Flyers to sign Sundin they are going to have to cut 5 million in cap space assuming he makes league minimumish.  They are 4.517 million over cap right now.  Barring creative repositioning of players I would expect to see the scenario you said.  The crazy Philly depth would allow them to keep shifts short and could really give them a boost in the playoffs.

Oh and BTW, zomg a hockey question in this section.  Its so hard to find.

OK, the Flyers are 4mil over the Cap already.. so someone has to go! If they signed Sundin for 7mil.... then they have to move that much mpre money... so someone you like and want on the team would be gone.. maybe 2 players.  Briere? His cap hit of 6.5mil is perfect to move to make room for Sundin! I dont know.. but it seems like the Flyers already need to move 4mil and 7mil more to move would change the line-up quite significantly. So trying to make lines would be too hard as a few of those guys would be gone!

PS- does Gagne retire or get traded to make room for Sundin?

I would think Sundin, Gagne and Richards. Put Briere with Upshall and Carter.

Yeah Joey the new rumor is maybe,  The Rags, Flyers, or Devils......this could be great(or horrible) depending on where.

It won't ahppen. Sundin won't turn down 10mil from Vancouver to play for Philly. Philly's in cap h**l and can't afford Sundin even if they pay him the league minimum.

Ha, I just asked one about predictions, IMO mine is more of a Dead Horse. I'm beginning having 2nd thoughts about asking it.

Sorry if this line is a little off. I didn't watch to much Hockey on the East Coast because of a lack of NHL Centre Ice.
