Question:

OK Please explain again why do questions get removed?

I had two questions on YA that were recently removed and I'm just at a loss to understand why. One was asking for help w/a peach cobbler recipe and and the other was asking if it's OK to use windex on computer screens. Both questions had a couple of answers so it's not lack of interest that they were deleted for. What really jerks my chain is I wasted 10 points asking and I now have no way to regain the 3 points each I would have gotten back by choosing a best answer. Why does this happen?

  1. It happens because you are obsessed with the meaningless point system, Yahoo know this, and enjoys messing with you.

  2. Both questions sound legit to me, and if they were posted in the appropriate categories, they should not have been removed. You could appeal the violations by following the suggestions below.

About violation appeals: using the 1st link will usually generate an automated response, after using the 2nd and final link a real life yahoo staff member will look into the matter. Note: you only have a short time period to use those appeal forms after you get the violation notice!
