  1. I think I already answered this question once but:

    1. Yes mollies can go with your other fish this is actually a pretty typical mixture of fish for people to keep tetras, mollies, and platys

    2. Yes they are brackish but most species you will buy in the store are already acclimated to fresh water. I do recommend adding salt to your fresh water aquarium in the amount of 1 tablespoon per every 5 gallons. The main difference between freshwater tanks with salt and brackish tanks is that in a freshwater tank you are going to use freshwater aquarium salt which is safe for all species. In a brackish water tank you would add 1/4 cup marine salt to every gallon of water.

    3. Yes your other fish can tolerate freshwater salt but not marine salt. And all freshwater species thrive with the amount of 1 tablespoon freshwater aquarium salt to every 5 gallons. This will aide in all of your fish respirations process as it makes it easier for them to breathe and causes less stress.

    4. As said above add 1 Tablespoon freshwater aquarium salt to every 5 gallons of water.

Edit: And your tank is above fully stocked and is actually overstocked without the mollies so I suggest cutting down your tetras to about 6. However if you wish to add all these fish your water needs to be closely monitored and good filtration is a must.

  2. I am not firmilar with these fish, sorry, you should do some research online. All I know is do not put rocks or anything else from outside in your tank, it must be store bought.  If only my teacher knew that, then our class fish wouldn't have died.

  3. Mollies can live in fresh, brackish, or saltwater as long as they are acclimated gradually. The mollies you would buy at a petshop are typically living in freshwater. I think that your tank would be fully stocked if you go with this plan so there wouldn't be room for mollies anyway. Keep in mind that platys are livebearers and breed prolifically.

  4. Mollies will survive just fine in fresh water or brackish and even salt for a good while if acclimated correctly.  I know, I have done it. Fresh shouldn't be a problem. What might be a problem is overpopulation.  That may be too many fish for that size tank.
