it cut off the music and started to squeak. they still travel in and out but they squeak. i am sure i didnt blow the subs but i could be wrong. my amp has gone into protect a couple of times because of too much power, and i didnt know if i blew the amp this time or what. and i have it open and i was wondering if i could just replace somthing in there. i checked the fuses, wires, and everything i tried everything i could think of.

  1. the amp is done dude.  sorry to say it but what i would try is to disconnect everythign from it and let it cool down and hook it back up in like 15 minutes.

  2. connect another speaker to your amp outputs. if it plays, then it's not the amp, it's the speakers, more then likely the voice coils are fused.  that usually happens from wiring up the speakers to the amp wrong.

let me guess, you have the amp bridged and have the the (+)'s and the (-)'s from both subs going to the mono input?

if so your running your amp at 2 ohms if they are single voice coils or if they are dual voice coils they could be running at an even lower ohm rate.  that will damage speakers and amps all day.
